Eye Care Cosmetics Lip Liner draws and defines the lip contour in one pass and holds the line through the day. What makes it unusual is what has been left out: no fragrance, no carmine and no parabens, the three things that most often cause trouble on reactive lips. What has been put in is comfort - moisturising shea butter and jojoba oil - so the pencil glides instead of dragging on dry lips. Eye Care Cosmetics is a French pharmacy brand built around high-tolerance makeup, and the whole range is made to the same brief.

Comfort from shea butter and jojoba oil

A lip pencil lives or dies on how it feels. This one is ultra-comfortable thanks to its moisturising shea butter and jojoba oil, which keep the tip soft enough to follow the lip line without tugging - the usual complaint with liners firm enough to stay put. With a flick of the wrist it draws and emphasises the contour of the lips for a perfect long-lasting design, whether you wear it alone for a defined bare-lip look or under lipstick to stop colour bleeding at the edges.

Built for sensitive and allergic lips

The formula is fragrance-free and carmine-free - carmine, the red pigment derived from insects, is a frequent trigger and is also what rules out most red lip products for vegans. It is also paraben free, which is the point of the brand's high-tolerance approach: fewer potential irritants on an area of skin that is thin, constantly moving and regularly licked. If conventional liners leave your lip line tight, flaky or itchy, this is the category of product to try.

How to use

Draw the outline of the lips, starting from the middle of the top lip. Fill in the lips with lipstick or lipgloss. Sharpen with a cosmetic pencil sharpener to avoid splinter.
