Microwave heated

A plush hot water bottle you warm in the microwave

Soframar Warmies Peluche Bouillotte is a soft plush toy that doubles as a heat pack, sold in France by Soframar under the Warmies name. You warm it briefly in the microwave and it gives off a gentle, lasting heat, which makes it a comfort object for the evening or a cuddle on a cold day. The filling is grain based, so it moulds to the body rather than sitting stiff like a rubber bottle.

How it works

Warmies plush toys are designed to be heated in the microwave for a short time, following the instructions on the label, and then held against the stomach, back or feet. When cool they can be stored as an ordinary soft toy.

Who it suits

  • Children and adults who like a cuddly warm companion at bedtime
  • Anyone who wants a rubber-free alternative to a hot water bottle
  • People who feel the cold in bed and want a heat source that is not too hot
  • A gift for cold-weather months

Worth knowing before you buy: Always follow the heating time on the label and test the temperature on your hand before giving it to a child. Never heat it for longer than stated, and do not use it on skin that cannot feel heat properly.
