Effik Polybactum is a vaginal ovule for women who have just been treated for bacterial vaginosis and want to help prevent it from coming back. A class IIa medical device, it works by a barrier effect: its polycarbophil base coats the vaginal lining and helps reduce the infections, particularly those linked to Gardnerella vaginalis, that are behind bacterial vaginosis and its recurrences. It is used after the initial treatment, one ovule every three days for one week, over three consecutive cycles. The formula is simple, with only three components and no hormones.

How it works

Each ovule melts at body temperature and releases a thin, bioadhesive layer of polycarbophil and glycerides. This film acts as a barrier on the vaginal lining, limiting the conditions that let the bacteria behind vaginosis settle back in.

How to use
