Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Purifying Anti-Shine Mask is a soothing clay mask for oily and blemish-prone skin, sold in the US as the Oil-Control Cleansing Mask. Kaolin, a naturally gentle clay, draws out excess oil and lifts away dead cells from the surface without leaving the skin tight or dry. Gentian root and Laminaria saccharina extracts help calm and protect skin that is easily irritated, while a touch of salicylic acid helps keep pores clear. In five minutes the skin looks cleaner, clearer and matte, and used two or three times a week it helps keep new breakouts in check.

The texture

A smooth, creamy clay that spreads in an even layer and sets lightly without cracking. It rinses off easily with warm water and contains no fragrance, which makes it comfortable even on sensitive, breakout-prone skin.
