A peel-style wash for oily, blemish-prone skin

Eneomey Purify Cleanser is an exfoliating face and body cleanser for normal to combination and acne-prone skin. Its pearly gel-cream formula contains 15% glycolic acid, a fruit acid that loosens dead cells and speeds up skin renewal, so it works much like a mild peel every time you wash. Pores look tighter, excess sebum is kept in check and the skin texture becomes smoother and more even. It can also be used on the body, on thicker areas prone to blemishes such as the back and chest. In a 10-day consumer test on 131 people, 90% said their skin texture felt smoother.

The texture

A pearly gel-cream that turns into a light lather on damp skin and rinses off cleanly. A mild tingling is normal the first few times, while the skin gets used to fruit acids.

Worth knowing before you buy: at 15% glycolic acid on a sulfate base (ammonium and sodium lauryl sulfate) with fragrance, it is not suitable for sensitive, irritated or damaged skin. Glycolic acid makes skin more sensitive to the sun, so use a broad-spectrum sunscreen such as Eneomey Sunlight Screen SPF50+ while using it and for a week after. The brand does not recommend it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How to use

Apply to a damp face and neck and massage gently with upward strokes, then rinse thoroughly with water. Use once a day on oily, acne-prone skin and occasionally on normal skin. It can also be used on the body, on areas prone to blemishes. Avoid the eye area and do not use for intimate hygiene. If the skin feels dry or red, use it less often and apply a moisturizer.
