La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50+ Fragrance-Free is a very high protection facial sunscreen for all skin types and phototypes, including sensitive skin. It is built around Mexoryl 400, an exclusive filter from 10 years of research that covers ultra-long UVA up to 400nm, the part of the spectrum most sunscreens sold in the United States don't reach, because the FDA has not approved this filter. Eight filters in total protect against UVB and all types of UVA, and Netlock technology forms an even film that resists water, sweat and sand. Tested on sensitive skin and around the eyes, it is suitable for contact lens wearers.

The texture

A watery fluid that you shake before use. It disappears on contact with no white cast, no greasy film and no scent, and it sits under makeup without pilling. It doesn't sting the eyes, one of the reasons people keep buying this one.

How to use

Shake well. Apply generously as the last step of your morning skincare routine, before makeup. Use about a teaspoon for face and neck: most people under-apply, which lowers the protection you actually get. Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors, and after swimming, sweating or towelling off.
