Elgydium Kids iced strawberry toothpaste is a 50ml gel made for baby teeth between the ages of 3 and 6. It contains Fluorinol® at 1000 ppm, the level suited to this age group, to help protect enamel against the acid attacks behind tooth decay. The formula is 96% ingredients of natural origin, and the iced strawberry flavour is the part that decides whether brushing happens at all: 77% of the children who tried it liked it in a consumer test. A pea-sized amount, two minutes, two to three times a day.

Protection built for baby teeth

Fluorinol® at 1000 ppm is dosed for children of this age rather than scaled down from an adult tube. It strengthens enamel protection against decay and works against the bacteria responsible for the acid attacks that start it. The rest of the formula keeps things simple, with 96% of ingredients of natural origin, and the iced strawberry flavour makes the twice-daily habit easier to hold.

In a single-session consumer test with 75 children aged 4 to 6, 77% liked the flavour - a small study, but a real one, and more than most kids' toothpastes publish. The tube carries a Green Impact Index of B, a score built from 20 criteria covering environmental and societal impact; it says nothing about how well the paste works, only about how it is made. It is for age 3 and over only, not for toddlers. The formula also contains Red 40 (CI 16035) and PEG ingredients, and the 77% figure comes from one session with 75 children, not a clinical trial.

How to use

Brush your child's teeth after every meal for 2 minutes, 2 to 3 times a day. Place a small, pea-sized amount of gel on a soft toothbrush. If your child gets fluoride from other sources, such as water or salt, seek advice from a dentist or doctor.
