Its active ingredient, ciclopirox olamine at 1.5%, targets Malassezia, the yeast that plays a key role in dandruff and scalp irritation. The mild washing base cleans the hair and scalp without drying or irritating them, so flakes are reduced and the scalp feels calmer after a few washes. It is designed as a short course of treatment, then as occasional maintenance.

How it works

A clear, lightly scented gel shampoo that lathers well with a small amount. You wash twice: the first wash cleans, the second is left on the scalp for 3 to 5 minutes so the active ingredient has time to work before rinsing.
