Silicone scar care with built-in sun protection, for scars exposed to daylight

Kelo-cote UV Silicone Scar Gel SPF30 is a silicone scar gel with SPF30 sun protection, made for adults and children with scars on areas exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, arms or legs. It uses the same silicone technology as the original Kelo-cote gel: polysiloxanes and silicon dioxide form a thin, flexible, breathable film that keeps the scar hydrated, which helps soften and flatten it and reduce redness and itching. Added UV filters shield the scar from the sun, which can darken new scars and slow their improvement. It works on scars from surgery, C-sections, cosmetic procedures, burns, injuries and acne, on both new scars (once the skin is closed) and older ones.

The texture

A clear gel that spreads in a very thin layer and dries in a few minutes to an invisible, non-sticky film. Once dry, makeup or clothing can go on top.

The 6g tube suits scars up to about 7.5cm (3 in) long. The 15g tube suits scars between 7.5 and 10cm (3 to 4 in). Treatment usually lasts at least 60 to 90 days.

How to use

Clean and dry the area, then apply a very thin layer over the scar twice a day and let it dry for 4 to 5 minutes. Wipe off any excess that does not dry. Once dry, cosmetics or sunscreen can be applied. Use for at least 60 to 90 days; if the scar keeps improving, continue.
