Manucurist S.O.S. Base is a treatment base coat for very damaged, brittle or splitting nails. Its concentrated formula with AHAs (glycolic, lactic and malic acids), vitamin C, vitamin B5 and hexanal gently exfoliates the nail surface to strengthen keratin fibres and improve the look of the nail. The brand describes it as a true bandage for nails weakened by traditional gel polish; after 3 weeks of use, nails look harder and healthier. It is 78% bio-based.

How it works

A fluid, slightly tinted base that brushes on smoothly. One coat is enough, worn alone as a treatment or under your usual polish.

Worth knowing before you buy: Like any nail polish base, it contains solvents (ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, alcohol) and should be used in a ventilated room. It is not an LED base and cannot replace the Green Flash base coat under Green Flash polish.

With one thin coat 2 to 3 times a week, a 15ml bottle lasts several months.

How to use

Apply one coat to clean, dry nails and let it dry. Wear it alone as a treatment or as a base under your nail polish. One coat is enough.
