32 soft bamboo sticks with olaflur fluoride, for the gaps a brush misses

Elmex Bamboo interdental sticks Caries Protection 32 units brings Elmex's amine fluoride to the one part of the mouth a toothbrush cannot reach. Each stick is soft bamboo with a triangular cut that matches the shape of the space between two teeth, and it carries Olafluor amine fluoride - the same active as the Elmex pastes. They clear plaque from the interdental spaces while being gentle on the gum, and they finish on a fresh mint taste. Bamboo rather than plastic is the part you will not find on most US interdental picks.

Fluoride where decay starts

These sticks are enriched with Olafluor amine fluoride, which is what turns a cleaning tool into a protective one: Elmex positions them as helping protect the spaces between the teeth, the places where tooth decay most often gets going. The triangular cut and the soft, supple wood let them clean precisely without scraping, while the fresh mint flavour leaves a clean feeling that lasts.

Daily upkeep, done in a minute

Used regularly, they help keep the interdental spaces healthy and stop plaque building up where it is hardest to see. The softness is the whole point: enough give to follow the shape of the gap, enough structure to shift what is in it. Elmex clears them for everyone as part of a complete daily hygiene routine - brushing first, then the sticks for what the brush left behind.

Who it suits

  • Anyone with wide enough gaps between the teeth to take a stick comfortably
  • People who find dental floss fiddly and skip it altogether
  • Evening routines, after brushing, as the last step of the day
  • Travel - a pack of 32 goes anywhere and needs no water

Worth knowing before you buy: interdental sticks only work where there is room for them. If your teeth sit tightly together, a stick will not go in without being forced, and forcing it hurts the gum - floss or a very fine brush is the better tool there. They are also single-use, so 32 units is roughly a month at one a day, and the mint flavour is not optional.
