A dimeticone lotion that suffocates lice and nits
Pouxit XF Anti-Lice and Nits Treatment Lotion is an anti-lice and nits treatment lotion for children and adults. Its dimeticone-based formula works by coating and suffocating lice, larvae and nits, and it is free of insecticides. The brand states it is suitable from 6 months, and for pregnant and nursing women.
The texture
A clear, silicone-type lotion applied to dry hair. It spreads through the hair easily and is left on for 15 minutes before shampooing.
Who it suits
- Children with a lice outbreak at school
- Families who prefer an insecticide-free treatment
- Anyone who wants a one-application format
- Pregnant or nursing women, per the brand
Worth knowing before you buy: The lotion is applied to dry hair and shampooed out without wetting first. Keep away from the eyes. Combing with a fine nit comb is still recommended alongside the lotion.
How much you need
The 100ml bottle suits short to medium hair for one person. For long or thick hair, or for treating several people, the larger 200ml size is more practical.
