Avène Sun Very High Protection Mineral Cream SPF50+ is a very high protection sunscreen made only with mineral filters, for photosensitive and intolerant skin on the face and body. Titanium dioxide gives photostable protection against UVB and UVA rays, while pre-tocopheryl, a vitamin E precursor, helps protect skin cells against free radicals. Avène Thermal Spring Water brings its soothing properties. The cream is fragrance-free, hydrating and water resistant, and suitable for children from two years.

The texture

A soft, slightly tinted cream that spreads easily and leaves a thin, protective veil. Like all mineral sunscreens it can look a little white at first; massaging it in well and building it up in thin layers helps it blend. It has no fragrance.

How long one tube lasts

For the face and neck, about a teaspoon per application, the 50ml tube lasts about six weeks of daily use; used on the body too, it is best as a travel or top-up size.

How to use

Apply generously to the face and/or body before sun exposure. Reapply every two hours, and after swimming, sweating or towelling. Keep babies and young children out of direct sunlight.
