La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+M is a corrective moisturiser for oily, acne-prone skin, including sensitive skin and all skin tones. Its newest ingredient, Phylobioma, was developed from microbiome research to target the C. acnes strain linked to acne, reducing excess oil, inflammation and clogged pores. Procerad and niacinamide work on the red and brown marks left by old spots, while salicylic acid and LHA gently exfoliate. It hydrates for 24 hours, so it also suits skin dried out by acne treatments, and La Roche-Posay reports fewer blackheads, blemishes and marks after 4 weeks.

The texture

A light gel-cream that absorbs quickly and leaves a matte, non-greasy finish. It sits well under sunscreen and makeup.
