Arnican Actifroid soothing cold gel in crackling foam 50ml is made for the moment a child comes in off the pavement, or you catch a shin on a table edge. Spray it on and it arrives as a crackling foam that collapses into a gel and delivers an instant cooling sensation on the spot. The formula carries 7% arnica extract, the plant French pharmacies have used on bumps for generations, with bisabolol alongside it. It is non-greasy, absorbs fast, and is cleared for adults and children from 12 months. The crackling texture is what gets children to accept it at all - it is more interesting than a cold compress.

Arnica, and a cold hit on contact

The active is arnica, known for its soothing properties on skin, present here at 7%. What makes this version different from an arnica cream is the delivery: the aerosol releases a cooling crackling foam that gives the affected area an immediate cold sensation, the way a cold pack would, but without having to hold anything in place. It is designed for use after minor bumps or falls, on sensitive areas, and supports the skin's return to its normal appearance. Apply 2 to 3 times a day, massaging gently so it absorbs.

Non-greasy, and quick to use

The texture is the practical argument: the crackling foam is non-greasy and absorbs quickly, so there is nothing to wipe off and nothing on clothes afterwards. Shake well before each use, spray onto the affected area, and massage it in. The 50 ml can is small enough for a bag, a car or a sports kit - which is where it earns its place, since bumps rarely happen next to the bathroom cabinet. Do not apply it to mucous membranes, the eyes, or open wounds.
