La Roche-Posay Effaclar Micellar Water Ultra Oily Skin is a cleansing micellar water for oily and combination skin. Its micelles capture make-up, impurities and excess sebum, removing most make-up from the first cotton pad, including on the eyes and lips. Zinc helps purify the skin and limit shine, while glycerin and La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water keep it comfortable, so skin feels fresh and clean without any tight, dry feeling.

The texture

Clear and watery, like a toner. It glides on a cotton pad without any oily film and needs no rinsing, so it also works as a quick refresh after sport or before bed.

Worth knowing before you buy: It cleanses well but does not replace a foaming gel on very congested skin; many people use it first, then follow with a gel cleanser. It is not designed for dry or very sensitive skin, which will be better with a hydrating micellar water.

How long a bottle lasts

Used morning and evening with two or three cotton pads each time, a 400ml bottle lasts around two to three months. The pack of two covers about half a year.

How to use
