The white Marseille soap block that cleans skin, hands and laundry

La Corvette Extra Pur Marseille Soap Cube is a classic white Marseille soap cube from the Savonnerie du Midi, the soap-maker behind La Corvette. It is made the traditional way and sold as a simple, multi-purpose soap: a firm block that washes hands and body, freshens the laundry and helps lift stains from clothes. It is a staple of French households.

The texture

A firm white block that lathers when wet and rinses cleanly. The 200g size fits in one hand and sits easily on a soap dish or the edge of a laundry sink.

Who it suits

  • Households that want one soap for hands, laundry and stains
  • Anyone who likes the traditional Marseille cube shape
  • Hand-washing delicate clothes
  • People who prefer a firm block to liquid soap

Worth knowing before you buy: It is a true soap, so it is alkaline and best for hands, body and household use rather than as a daily face cleanser for dry skin. We do not list its ingredients here, so check the wrapper if you avoid a specific one.
