La Roche-Posay Toleriane Eye pencil is the liner from the brand's Toleriane range, the line built entirely around intolerant skin. It lays down intense colour along the lash line to define the eye and brighten the eye contour. It is formulated to be suitable for sensitive eyes and for contact lens wearers, which is the whole reason it exists — most liners are not tested with that in mind. The base is a wax and oil stick (beeswax, carnauba and candelilla waxes), so it glides rather than drags. Available in brown and black.

Intense colour, tolerance first

The pencil is made to intensify the look and illuminate the eye contour in a single line drawn along the base of the lashes. What sets it apart is not the pigment but the clearance: La Roche-Posay states it is suitable for sensitive eyes, the kind that sting and water with a standard kohl. If your eyes react to eyeliner by lunchtime, that tolerance claim is the reason to look at this one.

Made with contact lenses in mind

It is also stated as suitable for contact lens wearers — a real constraint, since loose pigment and flaking liner are what end up under a lens. The stick is built on caprylic/capric triglyceride, beeswax and plant waxes (carnauba, candelilla) with hydrogenated castor oil, a soft, waxy base that draws a line without being dragged across the lid. It comes in brown and black: brown for a softer definition, black for a sharper one.
