BiafineAct Emulsion is a trolamine 0.67% emulsion for superficial, limited burns, including localised sunburn, and for small non-infected skin wounds. It is the over-the-counter version of the French medicine-cabinet classic, with the same active substance in a light oil-in-water base of avocado oil, squalane and paraffin that helps limit water loss while the skin recovers. Registered as a medicine in France, it comes in a 139.5g aluminium tube, a practical middle size for the home or a summer holiday.

The texture

A white, fluid emulsion that spreads easily and feels cool on hot skin. It is applied in a thick layer until the skin stops absorbing it, then massaged in gently, so it suits areas that are too sore to rub.

How to use

For a burn or sunburn, cool the area first, then apply a thick layer until the skin no longer absorbs it and massage gently. Repeat 2 to 4 times a day. For a non-infected wound, clean it first, then apply a thick layer that goes beyond the edges and keep an excess of emulsion on the skin. Do not apply near the eyes.
