A whipped body butter that makes dry skin soft and comfortable

Weleda Skin Food Body Balm is a soft, mousse-like body butter for dry to very dry skin, inspired by the original Weleda Skin Food. Its plant-based formula blends organic extracts of rosemary, pansy, calendula and chamomile into a velvety base of shea butter, cocoa seed butter and sunflower seed oil. Together they give lasting moisture and nourishment without a greasy film, and skin feels supple and wrapped in comfort after each use. It works best right after the bath or shower, when the skin takes in hydration most easily. For rough spots like elbows and heels, it can be combined with the original Skin Food cream for extra nutrition. The formula is vegan and dermatologically tested.

The texture

A whipped, airy butter that feels rich in the jar and melts as soon as you massage it in. It absorbs faster than you would expect from a butter and leaves the skin velvety rather than oily. The scent is the classic herbal Skin Food fragrance.

How to get the most out of it

Keep the tube in the bathroom and apply while the skin is still slightly damp after the shower, when it absorbs moisture best. On very dry shins, elbows and heels, layer a little of the original Skin Food on top at night. In winter, when central heating dries the skin, one daily application is usually enough to keep it comfortable and soft to the touch.
