Avène Sun High Protection Spray SPF30 is a spray-on sunscreen for sensitive skin that needs high, rather than very high, protection. It combines broad-spectrum UVA and UVB filters with a vitamin E precursor (tocopheryl glucoside) for antioxidant support and Avène Thermal Spring Water to soothe. The milky mist spreads quickly over large areas, resists water and leaves no white film, so skin stays protected and comfortable through the day.

The texture

A fine, milky lotion that comes out as an even mist. It spreads easily over legs, arms and back, sinks in fast and leaves a soft, non-sticky finish. It has the light, fresh scent of the Avène sun range.

Worth knowing before you buy: the formula contains fragrance. For very fair skin, strong sun or children under 10, choose an SPF50+ such as the mineral cream below, and keep reapplying every two hours.

How long one bottle lasts

A full-body application for one adult takes about 30ml, so the 200ml spray covers six to seven full applications. For a week at the beach, plan on one bottle per person.

How to use

Shake well. Spray generously on face and body before going into the sun. For the face, spray into your hands first, then apply. Reapply every two hours and after swimming, sweating or towelling. Avoid the sun between noon and 4pm and keep babies and young children out of direct sunlight.
