A 1 litre collapsible filter bottle from Katadyn

Katadyn BeFree Blue Filter Bottle 1000ml is a 1 litre soft flask with a built-in water filter from Katadyn, a Swiss water treatment brand. The BeFree line is a soft flask that you fill from a stream or a tap and drink through the filter.

How it works

You fill the flask and drink through a filter that removes most bacteria and protozoa. It folds flat when empty.

Who it suits

  • Hiking and trekking
  • Travel
  • Emergency kits
  • People who want a light bottle

Worth knowing before you buy: a filter does not remove viruses or chemicals. Check the pack for the exact performance of the filter.
