A purifying pre-shampoo clay treatment for oily roots

Lazartigue Purify Purifying pre-shampoo treatment white clay is a pre-shampoo clay treatment for oily scalps that want a deeper cleanse before shampooing. Lazartigue is a French hair-care specialist that has run Paris hair salons since 1880 and formulates most of its care with a high share of natural-origin ingredients. This treatment uses white clay to draw out excess oil and impurities from the scalp before the shampoo step, so the following wash goes further and roots stay fresher for longer.

How it works

A thick, clay-based paste that sits on the scalp for a few minutes before rinsing, drawing out oil rather than simply coating hair.

Who it suits

  • Oily scalps that get greasy quickly
  • A weekly deeper cleanse before the regular shampoo
  • Roots that need help staying fresh between washes
  • Pairing with a Lazartigue purifying shampoo

Worth knowing before you buy: Clay treatments can be drying if overused; once or twice a week on the scalp is usually enough, and lengths that are already dry should be avoided.
